Advocacy against proposed funding cuts targeting programs serving women and girls in the state budget. The Maine Womens Lobby signed on in support of several federal measures to improve womens economic security and reduce exposure to toxins in consumer products.”

Grassroots education and mobilization to promote positive policy change at the state and federal levels on issues such as work and family balance, economic security, pay equity, safer chemical reform and adequate funding of programs that serve women and girls.”

“SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN ORGANIZING OR GOVERNING DOCUMENTS - Added With the exception of the Vice-Chair, once elected, Officers shall become Board members of both the Maine Womens Policy Center and the Maine Womens Lobby. Note that the Maine Womens Policy Center is a 501c3 organization with shared staff and a close and continuous working relationship with Maine Womens Lobby. Even with this bylaw change, the two organizations have less than 50 shared Board members and therefore no majority Board control of one organization by another exists.”
