Mission

The purpose of Vivace Childrens Chorus is to provide a vibrant music education program where children will have the opportunity to develop their vocal talents acquire crucial musicianship skills perform and establish meaningful connections with other young musicians.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Vivace participated in three concerts their first season. The first concert was titled Abound on November 16 2024 and it was in collaboration with the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra and the Arlington Chorale. The 17 children of Vivace performed in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff for an audience of almost 1,000 people. The second concert was titled Winter Concert on December 15 2024 and featured seasonal songs in Latin Swahili and English. The third concert was titled Voices in Bloom on May 9 2025 and featured a guest artist VaShawn McIlwain-Lightfoot who performed Ol Man River as a solo and sang two songs with the children: This Little Light of Mine and Love Is Love Is Love by Abbie Betinis. The children also performed several short songs on their own. Both the concerts in December and May had an audience of approximately 100 people with 18 performers.$0$15,715
