To advocate for and promote proper science education knowledge and policy in public land management involvingutilizing stakeholders the general public elected leaders and judicial courts

The first program service activity representing 50736 approximately 80 of line 17 expenses Representation of five southern Utah counties in various federal land related issues namely Kane Garfield Piute Wayne and Beaver Counties Represented Kane and Garfield County in multiple resource management planning meetings with the Bureau of Land Management and filed multiple extensive written public comments and objection letters to the BLM regarding public land management planning efforts on behalf of both Kane and Garfield County On behalf of Piute County represented the county in various public lands issues including resource management planning and legal action in the Fishlake National Forest and particularly Monroe Mountain On behalf of Wayne County provided representation on various public lands issues including submitting multiple written comment letters to the BLM involving road access issues to lands owned by the State of Utah mineral leasing issues sand and gravel access issues and grazing issues Also attended multiple interagency meetings on behalf of Wayne County with the USFS BLM and National Park Service and field tours in Wayne County On behalf of Beaver County provided representation on various public lands issues including public access to public lands via public roads In terms of how many people benefited from these activities the entire population of Kane Garfield Piute Wayne and Beaver Counties benefit from continued access to public lands The vast majority of the land within these five counties is managed by federal agencies so access and proper public land management affect these citizens more than others in other parts of the country The entirety of this program service activity was funded through grants obtained through the State of Utah and Garfield County Utah-$50,736
The second program service activity representing 9300 approximately 15 of line 17 expenses Representation of the Utah Public Lands Council the Utah Woolgrowers Association the Utah Farm Bureau Federation and the County Farm Bureaus of Beaver Garfield Iron Kane Piute Sanpete Sevier Uintah and Washington Counties Utah This representation was in the form of an Amicus Brief friend of the court brief submitted to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Utah v United States providing detailed factual education science and policy input on proper public land management within the State of Utah In terms of how many people benefited from this activity the entirety of the membership of the Utah Public Lands Council the Utah Woolgrowers Association the Utah Farm Bureau Federation and the nine County farm bureau organizations listed benefited The entirety of this program activity was funded through contributions from UPLC-$9,300
The third program service activity representing 3384 approximately 5 of line 17 expenses Stakeholder and public education and advocacy for proper balance of public land and natural resources management by attendance and active participation in public meetings and field tours with federal lands agencies elected officials natural resources users and other NGOs In terms of how many people benefited from this activity because the vast majority of the land within Kane Garfield Piute Wayne and Beaver Counties Utah is public land the entirety of the citizenry of these counties benefit by education and advocacy for proper natural resources management within their counties and Southern Utah as a whole The entirety of this program service activity was funded through grants obtained through the State of Utah and Garfield County Utah-$3,384
