“Mission statement: kick for peace is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide soccer balls to children and youth in various refugee camps around the world. We seek to use soccer as a tool to bring joy, hope and a measure of normalcy to children and youth who have been forcibly displaced from their homes as a result of conflict, violence or natural disasters.”

“Purpose of kick for peace: these children in refugee camps have fled traumatic or life threatening situations at home and often face unimaginable challenges at refugee camps but they should not have to forfeit their childhoods. It is for them that kick for peace exists and they are the focal point of kick for peace. Simply put, the overriding purpose of kick for peace is to use the power of the world's most popular sport to deliver moments of joy, positivity, hope and happiness to children caught in the midst of chaos of displacement in refugee camps. As die hard soccer fans, we believe in the magical and transformative power of the beautiful game to uplift the spirits of children in refugee camps by alleviating the effects of their displacement from their homes. We want to see children be children through soccer and we hope that playing soccer offers moments of respite from life's challenges. Through the simple gift of a soccer ball, we hope to bring even a little joy, laughter and hope to children who are living in difficult circumstances.”
