First robotics competition (frc) team 2834 - the bionic black hawks frc team 2834 is a robotics program for high school students in grades 9-12 who attend bloomfield hills high school. We follow the official first frc curriculum, utilizing a roborio controller on our partially fabricated robot. Team 2834 is led by a coach, supported by volunteer parents, and guided by dedicated subject matter expert mentors. Season overview "competition season (january - may): the team meets daily in the robot shop. As the winner of the chairman's award in 2018, team 2834 automatically qualifies for the first championship (worlds event) held in houston, texas. Qualifying teams also advance to the state championship. "off-season: the team meets at least weekly to refine skills, expand knowledge, and participate in off-season competitions. We also host events, mentor other bloomfield teams, and participate in community outreach.

Fll explore (flle) - this program is designed for elementary students in grades 2-3 within the bloomfield hills school district, focusing on robotics programming. Following the first explore curriculum, this program utilizes lego spike essential robot kits and runs from september to december. Teams, limited to six students each, are typically organized as an after-school recreation program and are run by parent volunteers. The season concludes with the bloomfield bash, a celebratory event that also serves as a simulated competition to prepare students for the next level of participation as they age up. Bloomfield girls robotics competition (bgrc) - bgrc, an off-season competition hosted by team 2834 the bionick black hawks at bloomfield hills high school, is an inspiring event for young women in stem. Since its inception in 2015, this competition has welcomed female robotics teams from high schools across michigan and was the first girls-only robotics event in the state. Proceeds from the bgrc go toward funding 1,000 college scholarships for senior girls, who are selected by a professional panel based on their essay submissions.
