It is also utilized for events (like lectures, musical performances, play readings), community events such as pot luck dinners, and it can also be rented for a nominal price for community members to utilize for private parties and instructional classes. Also hosts annual sprit of place art show and sale. Art is essential on consignment. Heritage house collects sale proceeds and allocates between artist (spirt of place expense line 5494),a percentage to heritage house (4208 art show income) and sales taxes”

“Flowers plus which is a committee of the wwca whose purpose is to enrich the town's visual appeal and fostering community engagement through consistent and well-maintained planting and beautification projects. Flowers plus is also sponsoring and coordinating the planting of lilacs on public and private properties to prepare for a "lilac days festival" to bring visitors to westport-wadhams earlier in the season which would benefit businesses and increase tax income to the area.”

Task force created the westport chair trailof decorated larger than life westportchairs decorated by local artists. Pedestrian friendly walkable trail/tour is meant to inspire participants to slow down, take a seat, enjoy the area.”
