To advance a thriving, economically secure, environmentally conscious future for hawaii and the countries of the asia-pacific region based upon sustainable technologies, systems and services.

To accelerate technology commercialization, strengthen the safety and security of the hawaiian islands, and expand economic opportunities in hawaii and throughout the pacific. On october 23, 1985, pichtr was incorporated as a nonprofit educational and research institution as permitted by the enabling statute.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Pacific international center for high technology research (pichtr) is not subject to income taxes in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and the state and is recognized by the internal revenue service as an exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Pichtr recognizes the financial statement benefit of a tax position only after determining that the relevant tax authority would more likely than not sustain the position after an audit based on the technical merits of the position. Pichtr and ptac (pacific technology applications corporation) have not identified any uncertain tax positions in filed returns that require disclosure in the accompanying consolidated financial statements. Tax years from 2023 are open for examination for federal tax purposes. Ptac is taxed as a corporation and files both federal and state corporation income tax returns. There were no taxes incurred for the fiscal years ended september 30, 2025 and 2024. Ptac is subject to income taxes in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction and the state. Tax regulations within each jurisdiction are subject to interpretation of the related tax laws and regulations and require significant judgment to apply.
