The Board of Directors of NAWBO Foundation is composed of the same individuals who serve on the Board of NAWBO - LA, a related 501(c)(6) organization. The overlap facilitates coordination of educational and charitable programs. Each organization maintains separate governing documents, bank accounts, accounting records, and program oversight. Potential conflicts are addressed pursuant to NAWBO Foundations written Conflict-of-Interest Policy. Any shared activities or transfers of funds are reviewed and approved by the respective boards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and IRSregulations. No officer or director received compensation from both organizations for the period reported, unless otherwise disclosed. During the year, NAWBO-FOUNDATION made payments totaling $25,000 to NAWBO-LA to support administrative services. Such transactions were approved by the respective boards, conducted at arms length, and recorded in the books and records in accordance with U.S. GAAP for not-for-profit organizations.
