To operate the local chapter of sigma chi fraternity iota omega chapter at, loyola marymount university, a college social fraternity. Specifically, to promote the social, intellectual, and moral development of college and university men, both members and pledges of sigma chi fraternity. To continue among graduate members the close friendship and loyalty inspired and stabilized by mutual aid and understanding. To support the education of members and outstanding scholars, to assist members in time of need, and to support selected humanitarian activities. Our organization supports numerous charitable organizations and we hold many community service events annually, such as derby days to support local charity. We also participate in krach transformational workshops each summer and hold weekly chapter meetings. We hold rush events to market our organization to potential new members.
To recruit and maintain a membership base of quality men devoted to friendship, justice and learning.

| Philanthropy -- Philanthropy is a key aspect of our chapter's operations. We hold and participate in numerous philanthropic events each year. | Member Education and Enrichment -- Members of the Sigma Chi Fraternity are given the opportunity to take part in numerous leadership programs and experiences. These include discussions with University faculty, brotherhood retreats, executive board meetings, and many more. Additionally, all members are highly encouraged to apply to our executive board with positions including president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, recruitment chair, new member educator, and social chair among others. The opportunity to lead an organization of 100 men on our campus and in an organization with over 300,000 members internationally is both unique and rewarding.
