The crime prevention program of southern california provides resources and training to the construction industry for preventing the theft of construction equipment. These efforts effectively prevent thefts, reducing the value to criminals and re-seller's. In addition, they simplfy identification efforts by law enforcement, increasing the average recovery rate to approximately 75%. Beside being a theft deterrent, the crime prevention program signs also alert the general public to become involved and earn rewards at no risk or danger to themselves.
