This local theater company strives to provide quality education and premiere entertainment for residents and visitors to the Temecula Valley. The company produces an outdoor summer session, showcasing the works of Shakespeare, as well as new and original works that showcase the same themes and ideas for which Shakespeare is well-known to this day. Our donation to them was $10,000. | - | - |
| Our Arts & Culture Committee donated $900.00 to Inclusive Movement and Dance, a non-profit that provides a safe environment for differently abled children and young adults, who have a wide variety of neurological and physical challenges, the opportunity to participate in weekly dance classes, and perform in an annual recital in front of an audience. $600.00 was donated to the Southern California Choral Artists which inspires and develops singers and fosters the emotional well-being of the performers and audiences. This donation provided music education for 6 students. This committee also donated a total of $2,200.00 to the Arts Departments of our local high schools for educational supplies. | - | - |
| Other projects:Our Advocates for Children Committee provided 135 backpacks for back to school to 4 local agencies serving foster children, children in homeless families and children whose mother is undergoing cancer treatment. They also secured donations of Christmas gifts for foster and homeless children. They also made and donated blankets to Operation Smile for children undergoing cleft palate surgery. They donated sleeping bags for children attending Calicinto Ranch camp for children of incarcerated parents. These projects represented donations of $3,700. Our Environment Committee donated $250.00 to the Rose Haven Heritage Garden for a program to teach children about nature, gardening, wildlife and composting and how everything is interconnected to support our environment. The committee donated to Animal Friends of the Valley $1,052.00 for a pet food pantry to help homeless and low income families with pet food for their animals. The Temecula Valley High School Native Plant Nursery Project provides students with the opportunity to see opportunities in environmental college majors and careers in natural resources and agriculture. Our $500.00 donation helped support this project. This committee also donated $400.00 to the Cultivating Inclusion Garden which focuses on nature education for over 900 special needs adults. Our Penny Pines program donated $680.00 to the San Bernardino National Forest for replanting of 10 acres of land. | - | - |
