“The employee handbook currently includes a conflict of interest policy for employees and when new members of the board are selected, potential conflict of interests are reviewed. On an annual ongoing basis, each board member is required to submit an updated conflict of interest statement at the october board meeting. Our billing and accounts payable system has been updated to electronically flag potential conflict of interest relationship. This process helps the organization monitor throughout the year and facilitate our disclosure for our annual tax return.”
