Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XI, LINE 9:

Change in value of beneficial interest 22,167.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and section 23701(d) of the california revenue and taxation code. Since the organization is exempt from federal and state income tax, no provision has been made for current or deferred income tax expense. Under accounting standards codification (asc) 740, "income taxes", an organization must evaluate its tax positions and provide for a liability for any positions that would not be considered "more likely than not" to be upheld under a tax authority examination. The organization files its form 990 in the us federal jurisdiction and its form 199 with the state of california and a separate filing with the office of the attorney general for the state of california. There are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. The organization remains subject to income tax examination for 2016 and subsequent years (for federal) and 2015 and subsequent years (for state).

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:
