Lapa builds communication bridges with other paralegal associations and maintains a mutually beneficial working relationship with local and state bar associations, educational institutions, and businesses serving the legal community. Lapa also is an acive participant and advocate of the national association of legal assistants.

LAPA'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2024 INCLUDED, BUT WERE NOT LIMITED TO, CONTINUING THE TRADITION OF OFFERING A MULTITUDE OF CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION MCLE SEMINARS.LAPA PROVIDES ONLINE LEGAL EDUCATION SEMINARS. TOPICS INCLUDED ETHICS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, BANKRUPTCY, ENTERTAINMENT LAW, PROBATE LAW, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW, E-DISCOVERY, EMPLOYMENT LAW, LITIGATION, REAL ESTATE LAW, EVIDENCE PRESERVATION, ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, CRIMINAL LAW, AND A MULTITUDE OF OTHER TOPICS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.ADDITIONALLY, LAPA OFFERED HAPPY HOURS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PARALEGALS. LAPA'S ANNUAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDED A SPRING CAREER FAIR AND AN EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL OCTOBER CONFERENCE OFFERING MCLE CLASSES ALONG WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR MEMBERS TO NETWORK AND MEET EXHIBITORS AND VENDORS TO ADVANCE THEIR CAREERS.THERE WERE SEVERAL NETWORKING MIXERS THAT WERE OFFERED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER PARALEGAL ASSOCIATIONS IN THE STATE. LAPA SHOWED ITS APPRECIATION BY AWARDING ITS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR, SPONSOR OF THE YEAR, LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR, AND LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNERS WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND GRATITUDE. LAPA ALSO AWARDED A PARALEGAL STUDENT WITH A WELL-DESERVED SCHOLARSHIP AWARD. THERE WAS A MEMORABLE PARALEGAL DAY NETWORKING CELEBRATION THAT WAS HELD IN CONJUCTION WITH THE NATIONAL PARALEGAL DAY. LAPA CONTINUES TO REACH ITS PHILANTHROPY GOALS. IN 2024, LAPA'S PRO BONO & COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE, SEVERAL BOARD MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS PARTICIPATED AND RAISED FUNDS FOR PUBLIC COUNSEL'S RUN FOR JUSTICE 5K RACE EVENT AT DODGER STADIUM. PUBLIC COUNSEL IS ONE OF THE NATION'S LARGEST PRO BONO FIRMS. THERE WERE ALSO MULTIPLE OPPORTUNTIES TO VOLUNTEER IN THE COMMUNITY AT LOCAL FOOD BANKS AND RESCUE MISSION.--

LAPA'S ANNUAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDED A SPRING CAREER FAIR AND AN EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL OCTOBER CONFERENCE OFFERING MCLE CLASSES ALONG WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR MEMBERS TO NETWORK AND MEET EXHIBITORS AND VENDORS TO ADVANCE THEIR CAREERS.THERE WERE SEVERAL NETWORKING MIXERS THAT WERE OFFERED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER PARALEGAL ASSOCIATIONS IN THE STATE. LAPA SHOWED ITS APPRECIATION BY AWARDING ITS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR, SPONSOR OF THE YEAR, LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR, AND LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNERS WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND GRATITUDE. LAPA ALSO AWARDED A PARALEGAL STUDENT WITH A WELL-DESERVED SCHOLARSHIP AWARD. THERE WAS A MEMORABLE PARALEGAL DAY NETWORKING CELEBRATION THAT WAS HELD IN CONJUCTION WITH THE NATIONAL PARALEGAL DAY.
