Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B

The board retains the services of an independent cpa firm to prepare the organization's form 990 for filing with the irs. The firm meets annually with the audit committee to discuss the audited financial statements. Copies of the form 990, form 990-t, and all accompanying schedules are then provided to the board of trustees prior to the filing of this return with the irs.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C

Trustees, officers and key volunteers are annually required to complete a conflict of interest disclosure statement as a precursor to their service to rmhcsd. Potential conflicts are logged with and monitored by the cfo and secretary of the board and reviewed by a committee of the board. Interested parties are not allowed to participate in board discussions or voting on corresponding related party matters.

The compensation committee shall annually review and approve organization and personal performance goals and objectives relevant to the compensation (including but not limited to salary, bonus, incentive compensation, and benefits). B. The compensation committee shall obtain appropriate comparability data. Data must be collected, analyzed, and retained as supporting documentation. C. The compensation committee shall adequately document its decision. Documentation should include the terms and date of executive compensation decisions; the names of members present during the debate and how those present voted; a record of actions by any member with a conflict of interest; and completion of the documentation within 60 days or by next meeting, whichever is later.

Part X, Line 2

The Organization has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as an organization that is exempt from income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 23701(d) of the California Revenue and Taxation Code. It is however subject to tax on net unrelated business income. Generally accepted accounting principles provide accounting and disclosure guidance about positions taken by an organization in its tax returns that might be uncertain. Management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by the Organization in their federal and state exempt organization tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. The Organizations returns for years ended December 31, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014 are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three and four years, respectively, after they are filed.
