“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: COD Outpatient Treatment Program: the Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) Outpatient Treatment program operates in conjunction with all of our other programs, and provides specialized counseling services tailored to the needs of people diagnosed with both mental health and substance use disorders. This program provides counseling, education, and practical guidelines for coping with both diagnoses. Other services include community referral services and assistance with community re-integration. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, 233 people were treated by the COD Department.Total program expenses were $717,713. Total revenue was $641,783. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Hollister Apartments: the Hollister Apartments offer a supported independent living program through the provision of affordable studio units and supportive services for low income persons living with mental illness. As such, a continuum of services is provided at the housing site. As of and for the year ended June 30, 2024, there were eight people residing in the Hollister Apartments. Total program expenses were $271,848. Total program revenue was $168,180. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Chartman: Chartman is an electronic patient record (EHR) software system that staff use for efficient charting, HIPAA compliance, instant access for charting and billing, and all patient/client record keeping. Total program expenses were $56,202. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Enhanced Care Management: The ECM program aims to address the clinical and nonclinical needs of high cost and high need MediCal (CenCal) recipients through community-based, person centered care. Operating out of the recently reopened Integrated Health Clinic, which also helps members access affordable health care in the Santa Barbara community. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, 217 people were treated by the ECM Program.”

The IRS classified the organization as one that is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the Code because it is an organization described in section(s) 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi).The Organization has adopted Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) Section 740-10, which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. ASC Section 740-10 prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. ASC Section 740-10 requires that an organization recognize in the financial statements the impact of the tax position if that position will more likely than not be sustained on audit, based on the technical merits of the position. As of and for the year ended June 30, 2024, the Organization had no material unrecognized tax benefits, tax penalties or interest. The Organization's Forms 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, for each of the tax years ended June 30; 2023, 2022, and 2021, are subject to examination by the IRS, generally for 3 years after they were filed.The Organizations Forms 199, California Exempt Organization Return, for each of the tax years ended 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 are subject to examination by the Franchise Tax Board, generally for 4 years after they were filed.”
