PART X, LINE 2:

San ysidro health is a not-for-profit corporation as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the "code") and is exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to section 501(a) of the code. San ysidro health is also exempt from state income taxes on related income. Federal and state income taxes are paid on nonexempt unrelated business income in accordance with the code. Current accounting guidelines require an organization to determine whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination of the technical merits of the position, assuming the taxing authority has full knowledge of all information. If the tax position does not meet the more-likely-than-not recognition threshold, the benefit of that position is not recognized in the consolidated financial statements. San ysidro health recorded no assets or liabilities related to uncertain tax positions. Tax returns for tax years 2021 and beyond remain subject to examination by the taxing authorities.

SAN YSIDRO HEALTH AND ITS PROGRAM SITES ARE DESIGNED UNDER THE CONCEPT OF THE PATIENT CENTERED MEDICAL HOME (PCMH) MODEL OF CARE, WHERE THE PATIENT, NOT THE SUPPORT STAFF OR PROVIDER, IS THE FOCUS OF ALL CARE AND SERVICES. PATIENTS HAVE ACCESS TO COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL, DENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES AS WELL AS SUPPORT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT HELP WITH OTHER NEEDS LIKE FOOD, HOUSING AND HEALTH EDUCATION. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE HEALTH CENTER SAW 134,645 PATIENTS WHO GENERATED 714,887 MEDICAL AND DENTAL VISITS IN THE CURRENT PERIOD.
