“The executive director or a person authorized by the executive director will provide a copy of the 990 to all board members either by hard copy and or electronically for review at least 30 days prior to the filing date of the 990 tax form. All board members, officers and directors will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions and offer edits. The decision of whether to make edits will be made by the staff person in charge of finances within the organization in conjunction and consultation with the organizations tax preparer.”
“Play mountain place's conflict of interest policy covers all officers and directors. Play mountain place requires officers and directors to complete a conflict of interest agreement annually, which requires officers and directors to disclose any potential conflicts. Conflicts involving officers, directors, or the executive director are reviewed and resolved by the board. No one with a conflict is allowed to participate in any affected decision.”
“Each year, the board of directors reviews comparable salaries based on a recognized study and reviews the performance of the executive director to determine if the existing salary falls within these ranges. After deliberation of this matter, a new proposed salary and benefit package is voted on by the play mountain place board of directors. The minutes of the board of directors will reflect the nature of this process. In setting compensation, play mountain place may consider, among other things, external labor market rates, equitable relationship with other jobs within the organization and the organization's ability to pay.”
