THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES HAS ACCEPTED AN ACE PLAN WHICH WAS DEVELOPED WITH CONSULTANTS AND A FORMATION COMMITTEE MADE UP OF ARTIST, RESTAURATEURS, ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE DOWNTOWN SAN PEDRO AREA. THE CRA/LA SUPPLIES FUNDING ($100,000 ANNUALLY) AND DEFINES QUALIFYING AND FUNDING CRITERIA WHICH ARE CLEARLY DETAILED IN THE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) AND THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (QFD)DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE ISSUED COMMUNITY-WIDE. ULTIMATELY, ONLY PRE-QUALIFIED ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS CAN SUBMIT A PROJECT PROPOSAL(RFP) FOR GRANT CONSIDERATION.
