“The Club has been granted exemption from Federal and California income taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(7) and related California code section. However, the Tax Reform Act of 1969 provides for taxes on what is termed "unrelated business income." This is generally defined to include interest income, rental income, and income from nonmember sources such as food and beverage sales. A provision for income taxes on unrelated income is recorded in the financial statements.As of October 31, 2014, the Club had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. As of October 31, 2014, the Clubs annual tax filings for the prior three and four years are open for audit by federal and state tax agencies, respectively.”

However, the Tax Reform Act of 1969 provides for taxes on what is termed "unrelated business income." This is generally defined to include interest income, rental income, and income from nonmember sources such as food and beverage sales. A provision for income taxes on unrelated income is recorded in the financial statements.As of October 31, 2014, the Club had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. As of October 31, 2014, the Clubs annual tax filings for the prior three and four years are open for audit by federal and state tax agencies, respectively. |
