Organization formed for the public benefit with members. Member classifications are: individual, institutional, corporate/sustaining, honorary, and retired.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

Election of the board of directors shall be held each year under the supervision of the elections committee. Six (6) directors shall be elected by the membership. Terms shall be staggered with a president elect and four (4) directors being elected alternating years. Regions and the membership shall be asked for nominations for those who will be placed on the ballot. In the absence of nominations, the nsea board will recruit candidates. One (1) additional board member shall be appointed by the board for one year terms to ensure representation from each region.

To develope student employment education and opportunities in post- secondary education. Nsea supports and promotes student employemnt through research, publications, professional development opportunities, and the open exchange of information.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Nsea membership is comprised of over 500 professionals involved in programs for working college students. Membership is open to anyone interested in administering student employment programs or in hiring students. Nsea provides its membership with networking and other resources through an online membership directory, electronic networking, monthly email newsletter, and educational website. At the annual conference, members are informed of the latest trends in the field, share fellowship with colleagues, as well as resources, samples, and ideas. Nsea sponsors training seminars covering relevant legal issues, interviewing, selection and placement, supervisory and student training techniques, federal work-study and the job location and development program. See training seminars teach the essential skills needed to administer college student employment programs. Nsea sponsors the national student employee of the year competition which is designed to raise public awareness of the importance of student employment and to recognize student workers.
