The mission of JPEF is to develop and distribute effective educational materials about the Jewish partisans and their life lessons, bringing the celebration of heroic resistance against tyranny into educational and cultural organizations.

IRS990/Desc0Throughout the year, JPEF worked on enhancing its new curriculum, Foundations of Resistance: A Curriculum to Counter Antisemitism for Grades 6-12, as part of the CA Teacher's Collaborative on Holocaust and Genocide Education. JPEF added two new Jewish partisan webquests to this site and two critical conversation guides addressing antisemitism. The organization also introduced two new lesson plans on Women in the Partisans and Living and Surviving in the Partisans. In June 2024, it presented several of its new lessons to teachers from throughout the State of California during a 3-day seminar.

These teachers will reach more than 28,000 students in the next year. JPEF continued engaging in long-term collaborations with other Holocaust organizations and focused on reenergizing and strengthening existing partnerships. To this end, it trained 30 new museum and educational staff members who, in turn, will train colleagues and educators in their locations. JPEF continued working closely with Facing History and Ourselves and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and also joined with Kean University, the Virginia Holocaust Museum and the Tennessee Holocaust Commission in presenting joint in-person training workshops with constituents.
