“The organization delegates all operations secretariat duties to the management company including but not limited to adminstration of all meetings, all membership duties, all financial duties, all website related issues.”

“Membership in the company is open to any individual, firm, corporation, partnership, unincorporated association, governmental or public body, or other organization which (a) actively participates in the secure chip technology industry or related activities (which includes but is not limited to device manufacturers, product manufacturers, application developers, product issuers, solution providers, service providers, merchants, and users of such activities); (b) agrees to promote the company's technology and intellectual property; (c) agrees to be bound by the company's bylaws and membership agreement and (d) pays the dues for the requested membership level. Membership shall not be restricted on the basis of nationality, except to the extent required by law with respect to residents or embargoed countries. The company shall have five levels of members: full members, participating members, observer members, public entity members and consultant members (collectively, the full members, participating members, public entity members and consultant members are referred to herein as the "globalplatform members"), whose qualifications, rights, privileges and obligations are set forth in these bylaws and any resolutions of the board. The board may establish other levels of voting or non-voting globalplatform members upon such conditions and terms, and with such rights, privileges and obligations as the board from time to time deems appropriate.”

“The globalplatform board is led by three board officers, elected annually: chairman, vice-chairman and secretary/treasurer. The board consists of up to eleven directors, elected from full member and participating member organizations to serve two-year terms, who represent the interests of all globalplatform member organizations. The board oversees the strategy and management of globalplatform, controls the budget and provides final approval of specification changes. The company shall develop a standard membership agreement. Any membership applicant may submit a signed membership agreement to the company's board of directors. The board shall accept or reject the membership applicant's agreement based on the membership level requirements described in these bylaws or in any resolutions of the board of directors. If its application is accepted and subject to section 2.9 of these bylaws, a member shall remain in good standing as a member provided all application fees, initiation fees, subsequent dues, assessments, and other fees, together with such penalties for late payment as may be determined by the board of directors, have been paid within the period set by the board of directors and the member continues to meet all of the other requirements of membership, as from time to time determined by the board of directors.”

“The company shall be governed by a board of directors which shall have plenary authority over all matters concerning the company, and shall have such powers and authority as shall be conferred upon it by the certificate of incorporation, these bylaws and applicable law. Additionally, the board of directors shall be, and shall possess, all of the powers of the "governing body" of the company as a not-for-profit membership corporation under delaware general corporation law. The board of directors may excercise all powers of the company and do all such lawful acts and things as are not by statute or by the certificate of incorporation or by these bylaws directed or required to be exercised or done by the members.”

Guidelines are applied to formal meetings, social events and informal gatherings that occur in the context of organizational activities. For example, discussions and actions are confined to the group's legitimate mission and prices, costs, discounts, terms, sales, profits, etc., are not discussed.”

The executive director, ana lattibeaudiere's contract has been renewed for two years (may 2024 to may 2026). The board or ec will review her performance and compensation and decide whether to renew her contract for another two years.”

“The organization is a non-profit industry association driven by approximately 100 member companies. Members share a common goal to develop globalplatform's specifications, which are today highly regarded as the international standard for enabling digital services and devices to be trusted and securely managed throughout their lifecycle. Globalplatform protects digital services by standardizing and certifying a security hardware/firmware combination, known as a secure component, which acts as an on-device trust anchor. This facilitates collaboration between service providers and device manufacturers, empowering them to ensure adequate security within all devices to protect against threats. Globalplatform specifications also standardize the secure management of digital services and devices once deployed in the field. Altogether, globalplatform enables convenient and secure digital service delivery to end users, while supporting privacy, regardless of market sector or device type. Devices secured by globalplatform include connected cars, set top boxes, smart cards, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other internet-of-things (iot) devices. Market sectors adopting globalplatform technology include automotive, healthcare, government and enterprise id, payments, premium content, smart cities, smart home, telecoms, transportation and utilities.”
