Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Bridge is a not-for-profit corporation pursuant to the internal revenue code section 501(c)(3) and related california code sections and, accordingly, is exempt from federal and state income taxes on related business income. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the organization and has concluded that, as of december 31, 2024 and 2023, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the consolidated financial statements. Bridge and affiliates' federal and state income tax returns for the years 2020 through 2023 are subject to examination by regulatory agencies, generally for three years and four years after they were filed for federal and state, respectively. While no income tax returns are currently being examined by the internal revenue service, tax years after 2020 remain open. Management continually evaluates expiring statutes of limitations, audits, proposed settlements, changes in tax law and new authoritative rulings.
