NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COMMERCIAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS IS AN ASSOCIATION OF REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS THAT PROMOTES A COMMON INTEREST IN COMMERCIAL PROPERTY BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS. TO THAT END, IT UNDERWRITES AND PROMOTES THE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY AND ATTEMPTS TO ADD MEANING AND VALUE TO COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS' PROFESSIONAL SKILLS. THE GOAL IS TO ENHANCE THE PUBLIC'S VIEW OF THE PROFESSION BY IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING A HIGH LEVEL OF ABILITY IN THE CONDUCT AND PRACTICES OF THE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE LICENSEE. SOLID INDUSTRY METHODS ARE STRENGTHENED BY PROVIDING FOR THE FOUR FUNDAMENTAL PILLARS OF A REAL ESTATE TRANSACTION: EDUCATION AND TRAINING, MARKETING UPDATES, TECHNOLOGY AND FORMS, AND DEAL MAKING AND NETWORKING SESSIONS. THESE PILLARS PROMOTE THE COMMON INTEREST OF THE ASSOCIATION'S MEMBERS AND THEIR VALUE TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL. IN CARRYING OUT ITS PURPOSE, IT IS NOT THE ASSOCIATION'S INTENTION TO ENGAGE IN ANY REGULAR BUSINESS ACTIVITY THAT WOULD BE OF A KIND ORDINARILY CARRIED ON FOR PROFIT. RATHER IT IS THE ASSOCIATION'S WISH TO PROMOTE A COMMON BUSINESS CLIMATE THAT WILL PROFIT THOSE WORKING IN THE PROFESSION AND ALSO BENEFIT THE PUBLIC. IT IS THE ASSOCIATION'S FURTHER OBJECTIVE TO ENSURE HIGH STANDARDS IN THE REAL ESTATE PROFESSION WITH REGARDS TO CONDUCT AND TO FOSTER CONFIDENCE IN THE PUBLIC FOR THIS PROFESSION. THE ASSOCIATION HAS OVER 200 MEMBERS IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA FROM BAKERSFIELD TO THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BORDER. THROUGH ITS ASSOCIATION WITH AND SUPPORT OF THE CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS AND THAT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS THIS ORGANIZATION FURTHERS THE FREEDOM OF ITS MEMBERS TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY WITH THE SKILLS REQUIRED BY THEIR PROFESSION. THE ASSOCIATION STRIVES TO SERVE ITS MEMBERSHIP AND THE PUBLIC IN DEVELOPING AND PROMOTING COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT WILL ENHANCE THE MEMBERS' ABILITY TO CONDUCT THEIR INDIVIDUAL BUSINESSES SUCCESSFULLY WITH INTEGRITY AND COMPETENCY. THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES AND WORKS TO PRESERVE REAL ESTATE PROPERTY RIGHTS THROUGH THE COLLECTIVE ACTION OF ITS MEMBERS. ALL MEMBERS ARE TO ABIDE BY AND TO PROMOTE THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS AS ESTABLISHED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS WAS FORMED IN 1908 AND THE CODE OF ETHICS WAS ADOPTED IN 1913. THE PURPOSE OF THE CODE WAS TO ESTABLISH A PROFESSIONAL STANDARD OF CONDUCT FOR REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS. THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS IS BASED ON THE CONCEPTS OF "SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, AND A "COMMITMENT TO PROFESSIONALISM." THESE CENTRAL CONCEPTS OF PUBLIC PROTECTION ARE THE FOUNDATIONS UPON WHICH THE ARTICLES OF THE CODE STAND. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST BUSINESS GROUPS TO ADOPT A CODE OF ETHICS. THE FIRST CODE INCLUDED "DUTIES TO CLIENTS AND "DUTIES TO OTHER BROKERS." LATER, WHEN REAL ESTATE LICENSE LAWS WERE ESTABLISHED, MANY OF THESE LAWS WERE BASED ON THE STANDARDS SET IN THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS. TO THIS DAY, MANY JUDICIAL DECISIONS CITE THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS AS THE RECOGNIZED STANDARD OF CONDUCT IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY. COURTS HAVE APPLIED THE STANDARDS OF CONDUCT EMBODIED IN THE CODE OF ETHICS EVEN TO REAL ESTATE LICENSEES WHO ARE NOT REALTORS. COMMERCIAL REALTORS MUST FULFILL THE NAR ETHICS TRAINING ONCE EVERY FOUR YEARS.$0$0

THE ASSOCIATION HAS OVER 200 MEMBERS IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA FROM BAKERSFIELD TO THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BORDER. THROUGH ITS ASSOCIATION WITH AND SUPPORT OF THE CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS AND THAT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS THIS ORGANIZATION FURTHERS THE FREEDOM OF ITS MEMBERS TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY WITH THE SKILLS REQUIRED BY THEIR PROFESSION. THE ASSOCIATION STRIVES TO SERVE ITS MEMBERSHIP AND THE PUBLIC IN DEVELOPING AND PROMOTING COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT WILL ENHANCE THE MEMBERS' ABILITY TO CONDUCT THEIR INDIVIDUAL BUSINESSES SUCCESSFULLY WITH INTEGRITY AND COMPETENCY. THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES AND WORKS TO PRESERVE REAL ESTATE PROPERTY RIGHTS THROUGH THE COLLECTIVE ACTION OF ITS MEMBERS. ALL MEMBERS ARE TO ABIDE BY AND TO PROMOTE THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS AS ESTABLISHED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS WAS FORMED IN 1908 AND THE CODE OF ETHICS WAS ADOPTED IN 1913. THE PURPOSE OF THE CODE WAS TO ESTABLISH A PROFESSIONAL STANDARD OF CONDUCT FOR REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS. THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS IS BASED ON THE CONCEPTS OF "SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, AND A "COMMITMENT TO PROFESSIONALISM." THESE CENTRAL CONCEPTS OF PUBLIC PROTECTION ARE THE FOUNDATIONS UPON WHICH THE ARTICLES OF THE CODE STAND. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST BUSINESS GROUPS TO ADOPT A CODE OF ETHICS. THE FIRST CODE INCLUDED "DUTIES TO CLIENTS AND "DUTIES TO OTHER BROKERS." LATER, WHEN REAL ESTATE LICENSE LAWS WERE ESTABLISHED, MANY OF THESE LAWS WERE BASED ON THE STANDARDS SET IN THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS. TO THIS DAY, MANY JUDICIAL DECISIONS CITE THE REALTOR CODE OF ETHICS AS THE RECOGNIZED STANDARD OF CONDUCT IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY. COURTS HAVE APPLIED THE STANDARDS OF CONDUCT EMBODIED IN THE CODE OF ETHICS EVEN TO REAL ESTATE LICENSEES WHO ARE NOT REALTORS. COMMERCIAL REALTORS MUST FULFILL THE NAR ETHICS TRAINING ONCE EVERY FOUR YEARS.
