To establish standards in building codes, recommend and pro- mote uniform regulations and to advise and assist in admin- istration of mechanical laws and ordinances.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

To assist in the administration of mechanical laws and ordinances, omoa held its annual fall institute from september 15-16, 2015 to provide continuing education to code officials and associated building/mechanical professionals (architects, engineers & contractors). The 2015 fall institute consisted of 4 classes dealing with a variety of building and mechanical codes and laws. The number of attendees at the two day continuing education institute was 92.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

To assist in the administration of mechanical laws and ordinances, omoa held ten member meetings throughout 2015 to provide opportunities for questions and discussion of current issues pertaining to code administration and interpretation. Over 100 code officials and construction-related professionals attended these meetings and took part in the ongoing code discussions.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 30

Omoa participated in the international code council activities in order to clarify and shape code development and education for oregon mechanical inspectors and licensees. Omoa also submitted for consideration at icc code hearings a code proposal related to wood fired pizza ovens and their venting requirements that unfortunately was unsuccessful and will be re-submitted.
