At the Museum'sVolunteerAppreciation event for 2012, awards included nine Bronze Medals (100-200volunteerhours during 2012), one Silver Medal (250-499 volunteerhours in 2012) and one Gold Medal (more than 500volunteerhours during 2012).Imagine Children's Museum has won numerous local and national awards and recognition.Imagine Children's Museum has had two capital campaigns, which cause anomalies in year-to-year comparison of contributions.The first $5-million capital campaign provided funding to purchase and renovate the current facility which opened to the public in 2004 with new exhibits, furniture and fixtures. Fundraising for this campaign took place primarily in 2002-2004, with related contributions continuing through 2006.Average non-campaign revenues during this period were $185,256 per year.

Activity 3

Thesecond campaignraised an additional$3.5 million in contribution revenue during 2007-2011, which funded the creation of parking lots on adjacent land to ensure on-site parking availability for patrons, as well asexpansion of exhibit space.Thenewaddition, which opened in 2012, features a Northwest Lodge which provides the Museum with a unique area for special exhibits and events.Average non-campaign revenues during this period were$369,529 peryear, with comparative years being 2007 ($315,590) and 2012 ($378,029).
