Mission

Urban counties of california is a coalition of california's most populous counties. It was formed to address the needs of this population. The urban counties are the ones with the overwhelming majority of caseloads in the health, welfare, and justice areas. Ucc has the greatest challenges and the largest budgetary needs. Ucc enables the urban counties to pool and coordinate their efforts to pursue legislative action that reflects the needs of the state's most populous areas.

The urban counties are the ones with the overwhelming majority of caseloads in the health, welfare, and justice areas. UCC has the greatest challenges and the largest budgetary needs. The Caucus enables the urban counties to pool and coordinate their efforts to pursue legislative action that reflects the needs of the State's most populous areas.
