Activity 2

Resident Services Program: addresses the many challenges that vulnerable populations face in retaining their housing and moving forward socially and economically. We provide individual case management through social services partnerships and service referrals as well as coordination of onsite service programs for residents The goal of these support services is to assist residents in maintaining and enhancing self-sufficiency while building community. Staff has established relationships with local community-based service agencies to provide residents with case management, counseling, job training and placement, and health services. In addition we provide tenant leadership development, after school programs for youth, computer training, and educational workshops, in addition to recreational and social activities.

Activity 3

Housing development: RCD has a strong record in residential development, with a wide range of types of affordable housing in our portfolio. These include single room occupancy units, multi-family apartments from studio to 4-bedroom, group homes for people with disabilities, senior housing, and universally accessible units for people disabilities. We use both public and private financing sources to build and operate our developments. We receive allocations of Low Income Housing tax credits and are experienced in the use of funding sources targeted for special needs and formerly homeless populations. Our portfolio includes more supportive housing than any other developer in Alameda County and we continue to include a component of special needs units in our new multi- family developments. RCD is also a leader in using green building construction methods and materials in our properties.
