“Battle of the books is a statewide alaskan reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the organization. The program encourages and recognizes students who enjoy reading, broadens reading interests, increases reading comprehension, and promotes academic excellence. Thousands of students across alaska participate in both district and statewide competitions.”
