Visitors engaged with activities such as designing video games, controlling a Mars rover, simulating a snowboard race, recording a weather telecast, and exploring robotics. This world-class traveling exhibit inspired 50,811 visitors and fueled a 45% increase in attendance compared to 2023, demonstrating the communitys demand for high-quality STEM education.Bringing renowned exhibits to the Sacramento region expands access to immersive learning typically found in major cities, ensuring students and familiesespecially those from underserved communitiesengage with cutting-edge STEM experiences. This success reinforces AMCs commitment to inspiring future innovators and making world-class education accessible.2. Inspiring Future Aviators through Scholarships: In 2024, AMC awarded Private Pilot License (PPL) scholarships to two exceptional students. This program empowers aspiring aviators by offering financial support, mentorship, and dedicated guidance from flight instructors, mentors, and scholarship coordinators. Both women achieved their goal of receiving a Private Pilot License, well within the 1-year benchmark set by the scholarship program. This is a testament to their determination as well as the quality of support provided by the scholarship program.3. Empowering Girls in STEM education through the We Can Do It Together event: The museum's 4th Annual We Can Do It Together event, held September 25-26, inspired nearly 1,500 young girls over two days, focusing on underrepresented groups such as immigrant students and underserved communities. With guidance and mentorship from 70 female STEM professionals and dozens of volunteers, attendees participated in workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on activities. This initiative fostered confidence and curiosity in STEM fields, exemplified by one attendees remark, I didnt know I could do these jobs.4. Engaging Communities through Educational Experiences: AMC welcomed over 50,776 students and 556 educational tours in 2024, providing access to interactive STEM exhibits, historical aircraft displays, and flight simulators. The museum alsooffered summer camps for 351 children, 86% of whom received scholarships, ensuring access to STEM education. Participants learned about aviation technology, flight principles, and potential STEM careers, igniting their imaginations and future aspirations.5. Celebrating Veterans and Community Heroes: The museum hosted the annual Salute to Service fundraiser, raising over $110,000 to support educational programs and honoring local veterans and community leaders. Additionally, AMC commemorated aviation history with flyovers featuring P-51 Mustangs and a Sea Fury, as wellas the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk exhibit during Veterans Day events. These initiatives strengthened the museums connection to its community and its commitment to preserving aviation heritage.6. Showcasing Innovation through New Exhibits: In 2024, AMC unveiled the Clay Lacy Astrovision camera exhibit. This state-of-the-art addition featuring a Lear Jet highlights the revolutionary technology pioneered by aviation legend Clay Lacy, transforming aerial cinematography. The exhibit showcases the innovative Astrovisioncamera system
