Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The Foundation has been granted exemption from federal income taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(4). The Foundation has also been granted exemption from California income taxes. Accordingly, no provisions have been made for income taxes in these financial statements. The Foundation has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Foundation and has concluded that, as of February 28, 2025, and February 29, 2024, there are no uncertain tax positions taken, or expected to be taken, that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements. The Foundation is subject to routine audits by the taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.

The Foundation has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Foundation and has concluded that, as of February 28, 2025, and February 29, 2024, there are no uncertain tax positions taken, or expected to be taken, that would require recognition of a liability or disclosure in the financial statements. The Foundation is subject to routine audits by the taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.
