The Organization has three classes of membership. They consist of Family Members, Appointed Family Members, and General Members. Family Members must be age 18 or older and an issue of the marriage of the founders of the organization. Family Members have the right to vote for Appointed Family Members. Appointed Family Members are family members that have been selected to have full voting rights by the other family members. General Members have all privileges of membership including receiving information and attending meetings, except voting privileges.

She/he has full access to information, voice and vote when the organization conducts business. This individual also acts as a consultant to the organizations finance committee. The individual is appointed by the CCC of SDA.
IRS990ScheduleA/Form990ScheduleAPartVIGrp/ExplanationTxt1A scholarship program was established by the Board of the Archie Tonge Education Fund to support Adventist educations goal of encouraging and assisting young people who desire to benefit from a Adventist education but who may not have the financial resources to attend a Christian college or university. Up to five scholarships with a maximum amount of $8,000 annually have been awarded each year. Scholarships are renewable for four years if the recipient remains eligible. Scholarship applications are circulated each year by school officials, submitted to the principals office, evaluated and selected by a committee of school employees, community and board members. The results are evaluated by ATEFs application review committee. Scholarship funds are forwarded to the Adventist college/university which the recipients attends.A second scholarship program has been established to assist Pacific Union College in improving its retention and graduation rates. Funds are paid to Pacific Union College to be used to fund scholarships generally for juniors and seniors who need financial assistance in order to remain qualified to attend the College. Recipients are selected by school officials. Were it not for these programs the participating schools would be burdened with the task of seeking additional funding opportunities in order to achieve their goals.

Were it not for the activities of Archie Tonge Education Fund, Pacific Union College would have to expand its support for these students or risk the students not being able to continue the benefits of an Adventist education.
