From the total of campers that attended this summer, 42.5% of the residential program participants received a scholarship and 7% of day camp participants received a scholarship. We hired a diverse staff of which 36% were returning seasonal staff. |

Hidden Villa stretches over 1600 acres of open space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 40 miles south of San Francisco. Our mission is to inspire a just and sustainable future through our programs, land and legacy.Hidden Villa was founded by Frank and Josephine Duveneck, who purchased the land in 1924 and offered it as a gathering place for discussion, reflection, and incubation of social reform. Over the following decades, the Duvenecks established the first Hostel on the Pacific Coast (1937), the first multiracial summer camp (1945), and Hidden Villa's Environmental Education Program (1970). The Trust for Hidden Villa ("the Trust") was established as a nonprofit in 1960. |

The Deputy Director of Development spent a significant portion of their time leading the reorganization and planning necessary to launch the Visitor Services Department.The Intern Program trained 14 interns in environmental education, animal husbandry, sustainable farming, community programs, and fund development. Also included in the number is an agricultural internship at the Journeyman level. This person is responsible for training first year agriculture interns and managing the Farmer's Market.The Volunteer program provided an opportunity for over 564 individuals to contribute hours of service while helping to teach, develop community resources, provide administrative assistance and conserve our unique environment.COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE PROGRAM PROVIDED 120 SHAREHOLDER FAMILIES WITH FRESH ORGANIC PRODUCE AND FLOWERS FROM MAY THROUGH THE END OF NOVEMBER. THE SHARES PRODUCED ACCOUNTED FOR 70% OF OUR PRODUCE WITH 25% DONATED TO THE COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCY OF MOUNTAIN VIEW, SERVING OVER 3,200 CLIENTS.
