As stated in the updated "Form 990 Review" Policy dated October 19, 2018 states "St. Joseph's Health Support Alliance (SJHSA) shall follow all laws and regulations regarding the timely filling of tax forms and financial statements. While the Board of Directors ("the Board") sets policy and retains final responsibility for the Form 990, it has delegated responsibility to the Audit Committee ("the Committee") to review, approve, accept and file the Form 990 on its behalf. A copy of the Form 990 shall be distributed to the Board of Directors upon its completion each year.”

Pursuant to that policy, each such person is required to identify any transaction with the organization in which the person has (or may have) a financial interest. Management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by St. Joseph's in its federal and state exempt organization tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. St. Joseph's returns are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three and four years, respectively, after they are filed.”
