Membership consists of 1,235 electricians, sound & communication installers, industrial maintenance workers and apprentice and construction wireman.

Decisions of the executive board are presented to the local union at their regular meetings and approved or denied by the membership.

PART VI, SECTION A, LINE 11B:

Management and executive board members conduct a detailed review of the 990 prior to filing. All concerns and questions are addressed prior to the filing of the 990.

PART VI, SECTION A, LINE 12C:

The purpose of the conflict of interest policy is to protect the organization's interest when contemplating entering into a transaction or arrangement that might benefit the private interest of an officer or director. In connection with any actual or possible conflict of interest, an interested person must disclose the existence of the financial interest and be given the opportunity to disclose all material facts to the directors and members of committees with governing board delegated powers considering the proposed transaction or arrangement

PART VI, SECTION B, LINE 15:

Payments to managers and executive board members have been established in the bylaws of the the organization. The business manager and executive board members are elected to office under the provisions outlined in the organization's bylaws. The business manager appoints the assistant business managers and office staff. The assistant business manager's salary is determined by the wage categories specified in the bylaws. The office staff compensation is determined by a negotiated contract with the office & professional employees intl union local 29. Ibew 302 is a union governed by the international brotherhood of electrical workers constitution, article xvi, section 1, officers of local unions. Officers are elected for a 3 year term. Compensation is established by rates contained in the bylaws.

PART X, LINE 2:

Accounting principles requires management to evaluate tax positions taken by the Local Union and recognize a tax liability if the Local Union has taken a tax position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by a tax authority. The Local Union is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.
