Our website, www.MyLungCancerSupport.org, offers support and tools for patients from Day One. Our share your story campaign highlighted stories of hope and helped put a face on lung cancer. Our online screening tool, www.LungCancerScreeningSavesLives.org, helps those at risk understand whether they are eligible for lung cancer CT screening, an important advance that will save lives. Our online cancer and lung disease support community, www.connection.lung.org, helps patients get support from peers who are going through many of the same issues related to asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Peer support improves quality of life for patients with chronic disease. ~ Our Lung HelpLine served more than 120,000 callers with answers, resources and support to lung health and smoking cessation questions. ~ Our Asthma-Friendly Schools Initiative provided tools and resources to assist local communities in planning and developing a comprehensive asthma management program within local schools. Our ASFI Champion Awards recognized seven winning schools who have supported their students by creating asthma-friendly learning environments. ~ Our Asthma Basics online course helped adults with asthma and their caregivers with information and tools to improve asthma management. ~ For COPD Awareness month, we hosted a nationwide public webinar helping COPD patients connect with social support resources, like our Better Breathers Clubs and the Lung Connection Community. ~ Nationwide, we provided lung health educational support to more than 100,000 people.”

ALA in CA has adopted the accounting guidance related to uncertain tax positions, and has evaluated its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by ALA in CA in its federal and state exempt organization tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. ALA in CA's returns are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three years and four years, respectively, after they are filed. ALA in CA has not taken any uncertain tax positions as of June 30, 2017 and 2016.”
