“Trekkies afterschool | our offsite afterschool program. We served 2 elementary schools (silverthorne and dillon valley elementary schools) with our adventure and movement based afterschool program. We had 15 children attend our trekkies program over the course of 2024 and awarded 5,588.50 in scholarships. Partnered with proyecto thrive, summit school district to run an onsite 4- week afterschool program at summit cove elementary school where we offered an entirely free program to 19 children. School's out, trek's in | school break programming. We ran a full week of stem programming in february where we served 12 kiddos and partnered with the summit historical society to run a ute's in stem lesson on one of the days. Upgraded summer | our full summer-camp style program where we served 24 families, totaling 35 children throughout 9 weeks of fun we were able to offer 7,225.00 in scholarships. Worth mentioning | we were successful in maintaining and growing a trek adventure club garden at leslie's communal garden in dillon. We were able to fundraise enough to purchase a 16-person short bus to transport our children to and from our activities. We partnered with many local businesses throughout all four of our programs including, bistro north (for a cooking lesson), summit historical society (for a "ute in stem" lesson and a "settlers in colorado" lesson), alpine lumber (during our carpentry unit), the sports buffet (during our sport week), arapahoe basin aerial course (during our leadership unit), and sisu farms (during our on the farm unit). As a member of our neighborhood youth organization, you're able to join us during kids night out, where we provide pizza, popcorn, cookies and we watch a movie, for free. We hosted 6 kno's and 41 kids this year at kno's.”
