| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | Mission: AGAPE respectfully requests abatement of any penalties associated with the late filing of its Form 990-EZ. The delay in filing was due to reasonable cause and not willful neglect. During the applicable tax year Mission: AGAPE was operating as a rapidly growing volunteer-led organization with limited administrative infrastructure. At that time the organization had very limited paid staff and relied entirely on volunteers to manage both programmatic and administrative responsibilities. As the organization experienced significant growth in service delivery-including expanded food distribution home delivery operations and community partnerships-our limited administrative capacity was focused on meeting urgent community needs. This created challenges in maintaining compliance timelines including the timely preparation and filing of the Form 990-EZ. Additionally the organization encountered difficulty obtaining complete and accurate financial documentation in a timely manner further contributing to the delay. Upon recognizing the filing requirement and delay Mission: AGAPE took immediate corrective action to complete and submit the Form 990-EZ as soon as practicable. The organization has since implemented improved financial tracking procedures and is actively establishing formal administrative systems to ensure timely compliance with all future filing requirements. Mission: AGAPE has made a good faith effort to comply with all IRS requirements and remains committed to full transparency and accountability. We respectfully request that any penalties associated with this late filing be waived based on reasonable cause. |
