Mission

Guilford county solution to the opioid problem (gcstop) is a community-based nonprofit organization with the mission of reducing opioid-related mortality in guilford county. Justice-involved program - provides individuals involved in the justice system with support and resources, including advocacy, overdose prevention education, counseling and case management, and linkage to substance use treatment upon release. Post-overdose response team - partners with guilford county ems to provide people who recently experienced an overdose with support and access to resources. Staffed by clinical social workers & peer support specialists who offer participants community based services. Syringe services program provides participants with free services, supplies, and support at mobile locations throughout guilford county. Offer an array of community-based services, including naloxone, syringe service program, overdose prevention training, linkage to substance use treatment, healthcare referrals, including hep c/hiv testing.
