“During the fiscal year, Homes of Hope Network adopted internal governance documents such as a Conflict-of-Interest Policy, Whistleblowers Document and Board Member Term Limit Policy to strengthen compliance and transparency. These changes did not constitute formal amendments to the organization?s Articles of Incorporation or other state-filed governing documents.”

“The Form 990 is prepared by Homes of Hope Network based on financial records maintained by Homes of Hope Network. A draft copy of the return is reviewed by the Executive Director and Treasurer prior to submission. Once reviewed and approved, the final Form 990 is presented to the Board of Directors for their awareness and is retained in the organization?s records for public inspection upon request.”

“Homes of Hope Network regularly and consistently monitors and enforces compliance with its Conflict-of-Interest Policy. Each board member and officer is required to review and sign an annual Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement, affirming that they have read and understand the policy. At the beginning of each fiscal year and as new potential conflicts arise, members are required to disclose any relationships, transactions, or circumstances that could pose a conflict. Any disclosed conflicts are reviewed by the Executive Director and the Board, and when necessary, the affected individual abstains from related discussions and voting. All such disclosures and actions are documented in the organization?s meeting minutes.”

“Homes of Hope Network makes its governing documents, Conflict of Interest Policy, and financial statements available to the public upon request. Copies may be obtained by contacting the organization through its official mailing address or email listed on the Form 990. The organization also provides access to its most recent IRS Form 990 as required by law. The organization is committed to transparency and will make key documents available for public inspection during normal business hours or electronically upon request.”

These adjustments did not affect overall program operations or donor-restricted purposes and were made in accordance with standard nonprofit accounting practices under the cash method of r - 4225”
