“During its second year of operations, the tahoe housing hub launched its flagship initiative, the adu accelerator program, which provides no-cost technical assistance to homeowners and property owners to support the design, permitting, construction, and leasing of accessory dwelling units (adus) to members of the local workforce. The organization also expanded its community outreach, engagement, and education activities, emphasizing housing policy, public awareness through the housing 101 blog series, and the dissemination of information regarding upcoming housing-related public meetings. In addition, the tahoe housing hub initiated the formation of a sister 501(c)(3) entity, housing trust tahoe, which will focus on acquiring and preserving naturally occurring affordable housing (noah) properties, accepting land donations, and developing new affordable housing on property owned by the trust. Together, these efforts advance the tahoe housing hub's mission to accelerate housing solutions, foster public-private collaboration, and expand access to homes for the region's workforce and residents.”

IN ADDITION, THE TAHOE HOUSING HUB INITIATED THE FORMATION OF A SISTER 501(C)(3) ENTITY, HOUSING TRUST TAHOE, WHICH WILL FOCUS ON ACQUIRING AND PRESERVING NATURALLY OCCURRING AFFORDABLE HOUSING (NOAH) PROPERTIES, ACCEPTING LAND DONATIONS, AND DEVELOPING NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE TRUST. TOGETHER, THESE EFFORTS ADVANCE THE TAHOE HOUSING HUB'S MISSION TO ACCELERATE HOUSING SOLUTIONS, FOSTER PUBLIC-PRIVATE COLLABORATION, AND EXPAND ACCESS TO HOMES FOR THE REGION'S WORKFORCE AND RESIDENTS. |
