“Transnational organized criminal networks trafficking in wildlife are fueled by high profit margins and low risks, and are enabled by corruption along the supply chain. Meanwhile, the environment is being decimated. According to the 2019 intergovernmental sciencepolicy platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services ("ipbes") report on threats to biodiversity, the planet is at risk of losing more than one million species in the coming decade. An estimated 20 million hectares of land were illegally logged between 2000 and 2012, contributing to the acceleration of climate change, and global fishing stocks are being depleted. These crimes also pose a threat to national economies, global security, and public health. If environmental crime is not prioritized at the national level, existing practices can result in low rates of investigations and prosecutions or a misplaced focus on lowlevel, replaceable poachers or couriers, rather than those organizing or facilitating these crimes at higher levels. Wjc inc. Envisions a world without transnational organized crimes affecting the environment and wildlife, and its mission is to combat these types of crimes by researching and developing sustainable solutions to protect the natural world from such crimes and by educating the public about these types of crimes and proposed solutions. To tackle this complex set of crimes, wjc inc. Endeavors to be an educational and expert policy advisor and technical capacitybuilding resource at the global and multilateral level. Wjc inc.'s expertise will position it to provide strategic analysis, detailed reports, and meaningful insights to the public, law enforcement agencies, and highlevel stakeholders such as the united nations office on drugs and crime, interpol, the secretariat to the convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora, financial action task force, and others. Wjc inc. Will use published and confidential insights to inform strategic decisionmaking and policy development across jurisdictions. Through these efforts, wjc inc. Will engage in essential multilateral work by creating an international policy framework to support the efforts of decisionmakers and law enforcement in fighting transnational organized crimes affecting the environment and wildlife. Policy resources and recommendations created by wjc inc. Will be broadly disseminated through stakeholder networks through wjc inc.'s publications, presentations, and other educational events.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIMINAL NETWORKS TRAFFICKING IN WILDLIFE ARE FUELED BY HIGH PROFIT MARGINS AND LOW RISKS, AND ARE ENABLED BY CORRUPTION ALONG THE SUPPLY CHAIN. WILL BE BROADLY DISSEMINATED THROUGH STAKEHOLDER NETWORKS THROUGH WJC INC.'S PUBLICATIONS, PRESENTATIONS, AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS. |
