Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2

Sam reda, jack m. Reda, and j. Michael reda ii have a family relationship.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

All board members will be given a full copy of the 990 for review prior to the filing of the return. Chairman jack reda leads the review process by facilitating board discussion. All actions taken by the board are documented before the return is finalized.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The reda educational foundation has established a conflict of interest policy that applies to all individuals currently or formerly serving as directors, officers, employees, or volunteers of the organizationcollectively referred to as "interested persons." under this policy, each interested person is expected to disclose any potential conflict of interest as soon as they become aware of it. Employees should report such matters to their manager, while directors and officers are required to notify the board of directors directly. In addition to ongoing disclosures, all interested persons must annually assess whether any potential conflicts exist and sign a statement affirming their compliance with the policy. The board of directors is responsible for reviewing all disclosures and determining whether a conflict of interest is present. If a conflict is identified, the board will decide whether the organization can proceed with the related transaction or agreement. Should a conflict of interest be confirmed, the board has the authority to take disciplinary or corrective action, which may include removal from the board.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

The organization's governing documents, conflicts of interest policy, and financial statements are available to the public upon request for the same period of disclosure as set forth in section 6104(d).
