“Our organization is dedicated to developing resilient and confident hockey players of color by reaffirming their identity through support and a network of peers.”

“In the past year, we able to successfully run four development clinics, run a mini-camp, host several educational workshops and supported four different tournament teams. Player Development: Our organization hosted holiday development clinics during Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Presidents Day. We also hosted our inaugural Train Like mini-camp, offering on- and off-ice instruction and equipping each participant with tools to continue their development into the season. These clinics engaged 30 young hockey players of color, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fostering self-confidence. Participants benefited from a supportive environment that encouraged personal growth and resilience both on and off the ice. Tournament Play: We supported over 40 youth hockey players across four competitive tournaments with various teams. These events provided participants with the opportunity to apply their skills in real-game situations, enhancing their competitive edge. The experience fostered a sense of accomplishment and ownership of their hockey journey, deepening their connection to the sport and their peers. Player and Family Education: Our educational programs provided players and their families with valuable insight through a combination of in-person and virtual workshops. Sessions covered key topics such as the NCAA process, nutrition for peak performance, and injury management and prevention. The program helped families better understand how to support their athletes both on and off the ice, fostering growth and long-term success. Our initiatives reinforced our commitment to empowering youth through hockey, nurturing their passion for the game, and creating a community where they can build lasting friendships and strong identities. We look forward to continuing this impactful work in the coming year.”
