The bylaws of the entity were updated to accomodate the organizations current structure and future long-term growth needs. The changes to the bylaws include adding new board members, clarifying officer roles, defining procedures for board appointments and removals, and strengthing governance language to ensure clear oversight, accountability, and compliance.

The organization's bylaws authorize the board of directors to elect or appoint members of the governing body. The process includes review of qualifications and experience of prospective board members and voting to elect or appoint prospective board members by majority vote, in order to maintain an effective and qualified board that supports the mission of the organization and applies sufficient oversight. Removing board members is also a power authorized by the board of directors when the board has cause as outlined in the company bylines.

The treasurer, executive director, and president will receive and review the draft 990 before it is filed. The treasurer will review the return for numerical accuracy for revenue, expenses, assets, and fund accounts. Compensation for the ceo, executives, officers, and other key employees is determined through a formal, independent review process that includes evaluation by board members not subject to a conflict of interest in the decision. The process makes use of comparability data such as salaries of similar non-profit entities, regional benchmarks, and national salary surveys to determine a reasonable salary based on market trends. Salaries are reviewed both initially and annually for adjustment based on job responsibilities, experience, and organizational budget.
