Global performance program the global performance program offers opportunities for the museum community to engage in educational and immersive experiences that connect participants with the international performance art community. The programs serve as conduits to establishing programmatic partnerships with performance venues and artists. Through the research-based expedition to havana, cuba, the museum was invited to participate in the 15th bienal de habana with artist xandro segade. The venice, italy program established commissioning relationships with the national museum in oslo, norway, and tba21 in madrid, spain. The gpp deepens the understanding of both contemporary and historical performance art practices and offers a unique opportunity to expand knowledge, skills, and networks within the performance art world. La performs itself: conversations on performance the performance art museum and the city of los angeles department of cultural affairs, performing arts division presented la performs itself: conversations on performance, a series of free conversations among la-based artists about how performance influences their creative practice and how they relate to each other and their city.
