Vendor/supplier members and associate members are each entitled to one vote in elections for board of directors.

Form 990 is reviewed by the board and management for content and accuracy before its filing.

The organization regularly enforces the conflict of interest policy by providing the board members with the conflict of interest policy when they are sworn in. The organization requires the board members to self-report to the board when decisions are made that could result in a conflict of interest. The board of directors are required to disclose conflicts if they were to arise.

Executive director compensation is reviewed by the executive council on an annual basis. The executive council use the asae association compensation & benefits study, which uses data specific to the pacific northwest to compare the executive director's salary to those in a similar position at like organizations. In addition, they use a bonus format established by the independent board of directors. Compensation of other employees is reviewed by the executive director.
