“The oregon hospitality foundation (ohf), previously the oregon restaurant & lodging education foundation (orlaef), is the philanthropic foundation of oregon restaurant & lodging association (orla). Founded in 1991, ohf was originally designed to strengthen and support the industry by providing high quality educational and awareness programs created to professionalize the workforce, particularly in the areas of food safety and restaurant management. Ohf developed more than 10 educational products, services, and certifications, enabling it to be a leading voice in industry education. In january of 2009, ohf refined its mission to focus on a commitment to enhancing the restaurant and hotel industry's service to the public through education, community engagement and promotion of career opportunities. The ohf entered into a licensing agreement with orla for certain products owned and previously operated by ohf. The change was based on 1) modeling the revenue structure the same as the national restaurant association (nra) and 2) compliance with irs private letter ruling xxx-xx-xxxx. Ohf is dedicated to continuing its mission of providing innovative solutions to the greater hospitality industry.”
