“Adi is a coalition of worldwide non profit organizations that train and place assistance dogs. As of december 2024, adi's membership consisted of 160 accredited member organizations and 52 candidate programs across 29 countries. In 2024, 10 members successfully completed their very thorough accreditation process. 25 new candidate programs have been approved to work towards their accreditation process. 2024 proved to be a year full of exciting changes to make adi stronger and better for our members. Adi is concluding our first strategic plan that was introduced in 2022. Our plan kept us focused on four pillars of priorities: enhancing standards of excellence; grow, engage, and develop adi global membership; enhance awareness of adi, its members and the value of assistance dogs; and enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Adi has accomplished 75% of the action items identified in the plan. Some action items have become regular procedures while others will be carried over to the next strategic plan. Our new 2025-2027 strategic plan is currently under development. Education programming continues to be a priority for adi. The board made the decision to change the cadence of our conferences to every other year, allowing us to offer small regional workshops in the conference off years. Our first trainers' workshop in belgium was a hugh success with over 75 trainers and 25 dogs attending the workshop. Adi continues to promote the digital id card globally to provide clients with a tool that verifies their status as an adi certified assistance dog team. As the assistance dog field continues to expand and grow across the globe, adi and our members are being asked to do more. Adi's mission to our members is to offer help, faciliate support, as well as offer programs and educational opportunities so our members can focus on their mission to help their clients to live their fullest lives with assistance dogs.”
